Experts from the China Iron and Steel Industry Association said at the National Watermelon Industry Water Conservation Conference held on the 3rd that at present, China's direct seawater cooling and desalination are mature technologies, and electricity in coastal cities such as Tianjin, Dalian, Shanghai and Qingdao. At present, the Shougang Caofeidian project has considered the seawater project, and the Zhanjiang project of Baosteel is also actively exploring seawater utilization. However, experts have warned that seawater desalination projects should study the output of concentrated brine, and it is best to supply local units that produce sea salt to avoid the impact on the ecology of the marine environment after efflux.
