Saab expects to provide Boeing 787 composite cabin doors

Saab, the Swedish company, seized the plight of Boeing 787 project suppliers and was prepared to increase its share of the project. In a briefing published on May 10, Saab North America Inc. took the Boeing 787 composite passenger cabin door as one of its major growth points. Saab currently only provides cargo doors in the 787 project. The cabin doors are currently supplied by a French company. The company signed an agreement with Boeing five months ago to ensure that it can complete its tasks on schedule. Due to the current predicament of French suppliers, Saab is interested in the cabin door project.
