The solar cell module is fabricated by attaching a solar cell to one side of the prism and pasting it on a transparent substrate. The solar cells used this time were carefully cut from other companies' crystalline silicon solar cells.
When the module is vertically set, light incident from obliquely above is mostly reflected at the prism and enters the cell of the solar cell. In fact, looking at the module from diagonally above, it appears that the cell covers most of the module, although there are gaps between the cells.
On the other hand, when the module is viewed from the front or obliquely downward, although it looks like a stripe shape, it can see through the opposite side. This is because the prism does not totally reflect the light, and the appearance size of the solar cell is small. That is, the module can be used as a low-cost concentrator solar cell and window glass at the same time.
