The Dutch town of Hirschvod has a rooftop with solar panels on every roof – the world’s first CO2 zero-emission residential community “Sun Cityâ€.
The birth of "Solar City" was due to the implementation of the EU's carbon dioxide emission reduction and sustainable development plan. The most striking part of the community is the solar panels on top of each building. The dwellings here perform twice as well as the EU building standards in terms of energy consumption. A solar house is expensive, between 200,000 euros and 500,000 euros, but in such a house, life is cheaper.
