Flame arresters classified by multi-purpose methods

Flame arresters have a wide range of uses and classification methods. They can be divided into storage tanks, gas stations, heating furnaces, torches, vent tubes, and flame arrestors for gas transportation pipes. Classification by structure type can be divided into metal mesh type, corrugated type, foamed metal type, parallel plate type, porous plate type, water seal type, filled type flame arrester.

Classification by purpose

Tank flame arrester, gas station flame arrester, furnace flame arrester, torch flame arrester, vent tube flame arrester, gas pipeline flame arrester and so on.

Classified by installation location

Pipe end flame arrester: Installed at the end of the exhaust pipe;
Pipe flame arrester: Installed in the middle of the pipe.

According to stop the flame speed classification

Explosion-proof flame arrester: It can prevent the passing of sub-sonic explosion flames;
Detonation resistance flame arrester: It can prevent the explosion flame that is characterized by shock waves and propagates at supersonic speed.

Classified by gas classification

Suitable for Class I gas flame arresters;
Flame arrester for Class IIA gases;
Flame arresters suitable for Class IIB gases;
Flame arrester for IIC class gases (see HGJ 21289 for gas classification).
