The application of lime in slightly acidic soil should be applied once every 2 to 3 years, and should not be applied annually to prevent soil compaction. Gypsum is generally applied in alkaline soil. In saline-alkaline soil, it also regulates pH and reduces the toxic effect of saline-alkali on peanut roots. Gypsum can also be applied on neutral and slightly acidic soils, generally 5~7.5 kg per mu.
