Minerals_China's first fly ash extraction alumina production line progresses smoothly

This project was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission in 2006 to start construction. In 2007, it was included in the National Eleventh Five-Year Plan for Western Development. The project utilizes fly ash with an alumina content of more than 40%. After calcining, purifying, drying and roasting the feedstock, alumina is extracted by the alkali dissolution method. After the completion of the project, not only 400,000 tons of alumina and Portland cement are produced annually. Clinker, various types of alumina and metal cerium, etc., can also save about 1 million tons of alumina, use 1.6 million tons of fly ash, and digest carbon dioxide about 320,000 tons. At present, the bidding for the construction of the project has been completed, and some of the host equipment bids have been completed, and all work is progressing smoothly.
