Enterprises concerned about "import substitution"

The market space brought about by import substitution has enabled the company to gain a contrarian growth.

In recent years, China's general machinery industry has made great progress, especially in the continuous improvement of product levels such as pumps and valves, and can provide some high-end products for the market. In 2011, the company's main business income from pump and valve manufacturing enterprises above designated size reached 435.9 billion yuan, an increase of 28.41% year-on-year; total profit reached 49.896 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 28.71%. In general, however, the industrial concentration of China's pump and valve market is relatively low, and the production of medium and low-end products is the mainstay. In terms of owning core technologies, there is still a certain gap between domestic enterprises and developed countries in the world. According to statistics, in 2010, China's apparent consumption of valves was about 12 billion U.S. dollars, of which imports were about 2.3 billion U.S. dollars. This shows that there is still a lot of room for import substitution.
