The world's longest full-stroke crankshaft developed by Dalian Heavy Industry has a total length of 11.175 meters, a weight of 207 tons, a full stroke of 3.72 meters, and an output of 24,806 hp. It is the world's largest crankshaft with full diameter and full stroke. The user is Dalian Marine Diesel Engine Limited. The company will be installed in a low-speed diesel engine of a 250,000-ton large ore carrier in Singapore Global Shipping Co., Ltd. The G-Series diesel engines used in the ship are the latest generation of green ultra-long-stroke low-speed diesel engines. This series of strokes lengthens the diesel engine speed used to drive the propellers to facilitate the use of larger propellers. The relevant person in charge of Dalian Heavy Industry told the reporter that the extra long stroke brings an extra large turning diameter, which increases the difficulty of machining the crankshaft. The rotating diameter of 4.74 meters has exceeded the processing capacity of all crankshaft lathes in China. To this end, Dalian Heavy Industry invested in the upgrade of equipment, and carried out a lot of work in the optimization of processing technology and tool selection, successfully completed various technical research work, and all 760 test data met Mann's quality specifications and Drawing requirements. Previously, only Japan's Kobe Steel, South Korea's Doosan Heavy Industries, Hyundai Heavy Industries and other three companies have the processing capacity of this type of crankshaft, Dalian Heavy Industry is the world's fourth, the first domestic company with the ability to develop this type of crankshaft.
