Measuring the straightness with a spirit level is a commonly used detection method in machining. There are two common operational errors: (1) The level is not strictly along a straight line during measurement, resulting in measurement errors caused by the horizontal error of the workpiece installation. Before making a straightness measurement on a workpiece, people often only pay attention to leveling the workpiece in the measurement direction to ensure that the level bubble does not exceed the indication range during each measurement, but ignores the installation level in the vertical direction.
