Paint brushing attention

>>>Construction methods for various paints on wood base

(1) The thickness of the paint film is mainly determined by the rate of lifting the object and the viscosity of the paint. After controlling the viscosity of the paint liquid according to the above requirements, according to the maximum of about 30um of the paint film, according to different equipment, an appropriate lift rate is experimentally determined. At this rate, the coated article is evenly lifted.
The speed of lifting is fast and the paint film is thin; the lifting rate is slow, and the paint film is thick and uneven.

(2) The dip coating operation sometimes results in a difference in the thickness of the coated and the lower paint film, especially in the lower edge of the coated product. In order to improve the decorative properties of the coating, brushes are used to manually remove any excess lacquer droplets during dip coating in small batches. These droplets can also be removed by centrifugal force or electrostatic force.

(3) The dipping time of the wooden pieces should not be too long to prevent the wood from inhaling excessive amounts of paint, causing slow drying and waste.

(4) After dipping the large objects, they should be sent to the drying room after the solvent is volatilized. During the inspection, the paint on the thicker coating site is not sticky and no finger prints are applicable.

(5) Continual attention should be paid to the determination of coating viscosity. Each class should measure 1-2 times of viscosity. If the viscosity increases by more than 10% of the original viscosity, the solvent should be added in time. When adding the solvent, the dip coating operation should be stopped. After stirring evenly, measure the viscosity and continue the work.

(6) Attention should be paid to the attachment of objects to be coated. Pre-dip immersion is used to design racking and mounting methods to ensure that the workpiece is in the best position during dip coating. The maximum plane of the object to be painted should be close to vertical, and the other planes should be at an angle of 10° to 40° to the horizontal, so that the coated surface of the paint can run smoothly, and no lacquer or “air bag” phenomenon can occur.

(7) In order to prevent the spread of solvent in the workshop and dust from falling into the paint tank, the paint tank should be protected. Outside the operation, small dipping tanks should be covered. Large dipping tanks need to be drained of paint and cleaned with solvent.

(8) Strengthen ventilation equipment to prevent the hazard of solvent vapors; pay attention to arrangements and regular inspections of fire protection measures.
