Aerospace industry solutions
The aviation industry is the culmination of high-tech craft products that use today's advanced materials. Turbine
The Inconel and Titanium turbine gates are mounted on the outside of the aircraft engine to protect and support the internal combustion components. Therefore, its materials need to adapt to rapid temperature changes and light weight to reduce the weight of the engine. Titanium and stainless steel are often used as compressor components for jet engine front ends, while Inker and nickel-based superalloys "Rene 41" are often used as components for combustion ramps and turbines at the rear end of jet engines. The cutters for turbine gate machining, such as face milling cutters, drills, reamers, turning tools, and milling cutters, are shown in Figures 3-6.
2. Blade
The blades mounted on the fan tray are susceptible to a large amount of heat from the aircraft engine. The blades are made of superalloy and contain chromium, aluminum, cobalt and many high pressure and high temperature resistant materials (above 700 °C). Its processing tool is shown in Figure 7.
Leaf disc
The integral leaf disc is a single engine component that contains a turntable and blades. It is made from integral casting and processing or welding of blades from a single piece. When the tension is reduced while increasing the air compression rate, the need for the coupling members (screws, bolts, etc.) of the blade and the disk is eliminated, and the number of internal components of the compressor is reduced. The processing tool of the leaf disc is shown in Fig. 8.
4. Diffuser
The diffuser shown in Figure 9 is a component of a jet engine that directs intake air. It is the gap between the engine nozzle and the first set of blades on the compressor. When the space leading to the compressor is closed, this representative area increases, the flow rate decreases rapidly, and the pressure rises. This assists the compressor in starting the process of increasing the flow energy. The turning tool and its turning insert during turning are shown in Figs. 10 and 11.
